Synopsis: Artifacts of War is a film essay that examines the growing market of «non-lethal» weapons, unveiling the issues and reasons that justify their use. Every year, hundreds of individuals championing national security parade through the world’s most significant arms fairs, a  man explains the advantages of «non-lethal» weapons, an instructor demonstrates how to apply electric shocks on a mannequin, and hands transform a blank-firing gun into a deadly «improvised» weapon. Behind each component lies a technology; behind each technology, a political and social rationale.
